Flakiness Gauge and Elongation Index for Classification of Aggregate

Shapes of aggregates in terms of Flakiness or Elongation have important effects on the Concrete mixing plan and different parameters like durability and strength of concrete. Different standards have been set for determining the shapes of aggregates. BS Standard considers the use of Flakiness Gauge and Elongation Index mandatory.
